A substantial SEO library
I created practical articles, recommendations, examples, and learning resources about SEO and website optimization.
About me · SEOpaslaptys
From the 2013 SEO challenge to a 2014 number-one result, a return to the top in 2018, and a new chapter in 2026.
In 2013, that curiosity became a personal challenge. I wanted to understand SEO through practice, not just theory, and see whether I could earn a strong position in a competitive search. SEOpaslaptys.lt became my hobby, a place to experiment, and a way to share what I was learning.
Over the following years, I created many SEO articles, practical recommendations, and learning resources. I developed a step-by-step SEO workflow, explained it with examples, made visual materials, and invited readers to share their feedback. The site’s historical records note that I received more than 30 emails with feedback, questions, and criticism. That showed me the work had been useful to people beyond myself.
Below is the project timeline. Search positions are historical results I recorded for the specific keyword “SEO paslaugos” in Google.lt; they are not a promise or a current ranking. Positions changed over time, and I did not give the site consistent attention.
Project history
Historical notes about SEOpaslaptys.lt and the “SEO paslaugos” ranking in Google.lt.
I set out to reach Google.lt’s top position for “SEO paslaugos” and “SEO optimizacija”. I wanted to understand SEO for myself and see what consistent work could achieve.
My site history records that I reached Google.lt’s number-one position for “SEO paslaugos”. It was a meaningful practical result—and proof that my hobby had become a measurable experiment.
The “SEO paslaugos” position moved between the top spot and fifth place. My note at the time identified a long period without new information, articles, or recommendations as a main reason.
I refreshed the SEOpaslaptys.lt design in September. In December, I set a new goal: to regain the top position.
I recorded that the site was again number one in Google.lt for “SEO paslaugos”. It was the project’s second major milestone after the 2014 result.
I recorded the site on Google’s second results page for “SEO paslaugos”. I had more work elsewhere, so maintaining SEOpaslaptys was no longer a priority. I published less new material and updated the site inconsistently; I identify that reduced attention as the reason the ranking fell.
I decided not to erase the work from the old site. I am reviewing it, updating outdated explanations, and preparing new articles in Lithuanian and English—one at a time, carefully and in plain language.
What the work left behind
I created practical articles, recommendations, examples, and learning resources about SEO and website optimization.
I documented SEO work from goals and site analysis through keyword research, content, on-page and off-page optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
The archive records more than 30 emails from readers with opinions, questions, comments, and constructive criticism.
Dates, milestones, and the email count come from surviving records of the earlier site. TOP‑1 and TOP‑5 refer to the “SEO paslaugos” positions recorded in Google.lt at that time.
How I continue today
I start with what readers are looking for and explain the topic in the context of their needs.
I present old results as experience from their time and recheck current recommendations.
I update the site steadily so every article is worth the reader’s time.
